Training
If you’re a medical student, surgical resident, or healthcare professional looking to develop or refine laparoscopic skills, Laptitude is for you! Its structured training approach adapts to different experience levels, making it suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners alike.
Absolutely! Laptitude is built for flexibility, so you can practice anytime, anywhere, even at home. The hardware works seamlessly with desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones, giving you a fully portable way to sharpen your laparoscopic skills without relying on lab access.
Laptitude helps you succeed by providing:
- FLS-aligned training – Practice the exact core tasks required for the exam.
- Adaptive difficulty – Challenges adjust to your skill level, ensuring steady progress without frustration.
- Instant feedback – Get real-time guidance to correct mistakes and refine technique as you practice.
- Confidence building – Regular use develops precision, efficiency, and the assurance needed to pass the exam.
Through structured mini-games and adaptive challenges, you'll learn the core laparoscopic skills you’ll need:
- Fundamental techniques – Positioning, grasping, transferring, ligation, dissecting, cutting, and suturing.
- Skill refinement – Build precision, motion efficiency, ambidexterity, hand–eye coordination, and situational awareness.
After learning individual skills, you’ll learn to apply these in isolated procedural steps before you move on to full simulated procedures.
An adaptive simulator tailors challenges to each resident’s skill level, providing targeted practice, instant feedback, and engaging, motivating training. This helps build confidence, precision, and procedural memory, preparing residents more effectively for real surgeries.
Features
Feedback is dynamic and tailored to each training mode:
- Curious Cases – Arcade-style feedback focused on speed and accuracy, with instant cues through haptics and on-screen indicators. Tracks extra movements, instrument collisions, and other basic performance metrics.
- Skill Drills & Procedures – More intensive, procedure-focused feedback with detailed insights on grip pressure, tissue handling, and errors like burned or nicked tissue.
- Progressive precision – As you advance, feedback becomes increasingly detailed, helping you refine technique, improve accuracy, and gain surgical control.
